The Roswell Crash
Probably the most famous of all UFO and Alien stories out there. In July 1947, a rancher by the name of William Brazel contacted local sheriff, George Wilcox, telling him that he may have recoved debris from a flying saucer. Wilcox then informed the military authorities at the nearby RAAF (Roswell Army Air Field) and Major Jesse Marcel was sent to investigate.
Marcel investigated the area and found very strange pieces of metal, one of which he describe as a " weightless I-beam-like structure" with "indecipherable characters along the length in two different colours" and another piece he found was apparently "the thickness of tinfoil that was indestructible".
Although the papers first reported it as a "flying saucer" it was later reported to be nothing more than a "weather balloon" and we have the now famous picture of Major Marcel and the "supposed" weather balloon.
So what happened to the " weightless I-beam-like structure" and the metal that was like "the thickness of tinfoil that was indestructible" i doubt we'll ever find out. Its just a shame that the Roswell crash didn't happen in the past few years, then Marjor Marcel could've taken a few pic's with his I-phone and uploaded them to Facebook and Twitter, could you imagine "Hey, check out these weird things i found on a farm, defo aliens #RoswellCrash #UFOsarereal"
