Lubbock Lights, 1951

Three professors, from Texas Technological College, were sitting in one of their backyards when they suddenly saw 20-30 bright lights fly over them in a "U" formation. They said that the lights were as bright as stars but much bigger. Strangely enough, while discussing what they had just seen, another set of lights flew over them again.

Determined to view the objects again, about a week later, they sat in the front yard and again saw the strange formation of lights fly overhead. Dr. Grayson Mead, who was present at the time, claims that the lights "appeared to be about the size of a dinner plate and they were greenish-blue, slightly fluorescent in color. They were smaller than the full moon at the horizon. There were about a dozen to fifteen of these lights...they were absolutely circular...it gave all of us...an extremely eerie feeling."

Although the professors took no pictures of the strange formation, a freshman from the college did. Carl Hart, Jr managed to snap a picture of the strange formations from his bedroom. The picture was later printed in LIFE magazine. The professors claim that this was not the craft they saw as this is more "V" shaped and the one they witnessed was "U" shape.
